Ather 450X & 450S
The company Ather Energy has introduced the prices for the new 450S and the 450X electric scooters. The 450S varient is more affordable than the alternative 450X as revealed by ather earlier. Both electric scooters (450s and 450x) comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack. According to media reports The 3.7kWh battery pack of 450x model will be available by October 2023.
Tarun Mehta, who was the Co-Founder & CEO of the Ather Energy, revealed some details about the three varients of 450 lineup he said, “we now have three products on the 450 lineup in different price tags. This allows us to reach variety of customer and need According to customes. The latest entry level variant, 450S comes with performance of 125cc by offering a first-of-its-kind DeepView Display dashboard and a host of never seen before innovative features.
The 450s is best alternative than the 450x model in terms of price and performance The 450S varient too gives good riding pleasure and safety experience. The 450S is assurencen to all those customers who want to enter the electric segment but are seeking the quality and assurance that Ather scooters provide at an accessible price range. Along with the 450S ather also introducing the 450X in 3kWh and 4kWh capacity providing more options to the customers to choose from our best selling scooter platform.”
The new 2023 Ather 450S equipped by a 2.9kWh battery pack which gives range of 115km. This is paired with a motor which generates a power of 7.24bhp gives a torque of 22Nm which gives the scooter a 0 to 40kmph acceleration in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 90kmph. On the dashboard This scooter has a kit including the new DeepView TFT display offering a range of functionalities, as well as new safety features such as FallSafe – which cuts off the motor if it senses the rider is on the verge of a fall, Emergency Stop Signal and coasting regen. These features have made it to the 450X model as well.
2023 Ather 450 lineup price range –
- The new Ather 450S line-up is priced around Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
- The Ather 450X with 2.9kWh battery is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune)
- The top-spec Ather 450X with 3.7kWh battery is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
- The Pro-Pack is priced at Rs 14,000 for the 450S, Rs 16,000 for the 450X and Rs 23,000 for the 450X with 3.9kWh battery.
The 2023 Ather 450X varient is now also available with a 2.9kWh battery pack while the top-spec 450X with the 3.7kWh battery is scheduled for launch in October 2023. The smaller 29.kWh gives it a range of 115km, which is 30km less than the 3.7kWh battery pack. Customers have the option to choose the Pro Pack which adds features like Ride Assist, Ather Battery Protect, AtherStack updates and Ather Connect. The motor however is the same 8.4bhp unit.
The Ather 450S varient has a 7-inch DeepView display with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, auto brightness and multiple display modes and features. The scooter also comes with new switchgear with improves tactility and a new reverse switch and a joystick. The new coasting regen feature slows down the scooter speed at a steady rate while bringing the energy to improve the range. The mudflap has also been modified to improve the spray coming from the tyre, and offering better protection for the suspension and brakes.
